A Cupcakes-And-Crime Caper
When cupcake-loving croupier and private investigator Tiffany Black witnesses a handsome, green-eyed man making a getaway after an art heist, she finds her normally chaotic life becoming even more complicated.
"Winters will have you giggling into your book!"
Tiffany flits between two cases investigating the missing Van Gogh, and the murder of a Hollywood starlet with a secret life. When her investigation takes an intriguing turn and a man with mesmerizing green eyes comes into her life, Tiffany starts to wonder if this man might be the missing link between both crimes...
When her octogenarian friend Glenn starts dating a very inappropriate woman, and Nanna starts calling a twenty-something-year-old her “boyfriend”, Tiffany wonders if being attracted to a potential criminal might not be so crazy after all.
As she follows the investigation from movie sets to museums, danger strikes a little too close to home when Tiffany discovers that not only was the dead girl being stalked, someone with a deadly motive appears to be watching her too...
Green Eyes in Las Vegas is the second book in The Tiffany Black in Las Vegas Mystery Series. Though it can be read as a standalone, it's best read in series order.
This is a humorous cozy mystery featuring a strong female protagonist, some unusual friends and family, and a mystery that needs solving! It has no graphic gore, bad language, or sex.

I read a lot. When I get into a book I will read it at every opportunity I get until it's finished. I enjoyed the book but was able to put it down for a couple of days and go back to it to finish. I have read the entire series and will read future ones. There are typos, editing, and sentence errors. They are very obvious if I see them since I speak and write poorly. (My mother celebrated when I learned to spell "cat", and I drove my third grade teacher to start anti-depressants and retire after the school year. Not to mention to this day my fourth grade teacher does not speak to me even in church.)Product details

Green Eyes in Las Vegas A Cozy Tiffany Black Mystery Tiffany Black Mysteries Book 2 edition by AR Winters Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews
I enjoyed this book more than the first. The fun new characters of Jack and Ian were a great addition. I like Tiffany with Stone, but Jack is interesting too. Like my review for the first book, I have to say the author's language doesn't always mean with a Vegas native or an American in general. We don't wear singlets, live in flats with flatmates, or say learnt. I really enjoy those things when I'm reading books set in Australia, such as J.D. Nixon's awesome Heller series, but it really distracts me when it doesn't fit the setting. Maybe an American beta reader would be helpful. I would happily volunteer, because I think the author has talent, and I really like the books. I will be reading the next one whenever it comes out, distracting language and all. Also, kudos to the author for keeping the price low.
This series follows the standard formula that most authors of this genre seem to favor at the moment. Not that anything is necessarily wrong with that. A lot of people want some predictability in what they read. So if you like humorous mysteries along the line of Janet Evanovich this will fill the bill.
Tiffany is a casino dealer with aspirations of becoming a private eye. This is the second in the series. The books are clean and well written and do favor a humorous take on life in Vegas and features a sufficiently dysfunctional family as background to the main action.
Ms. Winters has made some minor changes in changing the second male from a police detective to a playboy burglar. These are light easy reads and do not require you remember a lot of detail to either enjoy or to solve the mystery. Looks like number three is slated to come out soon. I enjoyed these enough that I will add to my reading list when it is available.
Tiffany was funnier this time and her latest sidekick, Ian adds a little more humor. As with the first book, the characters and story are enjoyable, but I still have issues with believability. Tiffany nonchalantly confronts suspects, accuses them of murder and just as nonchalantly walks away - no blow back, no retaliatory response from anyone. It doesn't make sense and almost feels like the author is being lazy so the ending wraps up with little to no action or consequence.
Tiffany is fun to follow! What I loved about this book is how the story picks up where the last one left off. It might be a bit confusing at first for someone who doesn't know who Mr. Beard is and why he is doing what he does (don't want to spoil it) but everything is revealed in the end. I am loving Stone and look forward to watching his character grow. I can't imagine the story without him! And Nanna is outrageously funny, especially with her new boyfriend.
The only real flaw with this book is that there are several simple errors that need to be corrected. An extra I in a sentence. Glen vs Glenn - repeatedly! And Crystal's sister is referred to as Christine in a couple spots but Carol in others. Perhaps a proof-reader would be a good investment (not computerized, either, as these won't be caught by software alone). (Want to hire me to proof for technical errors?) D
This 2nd book in the Tiffany Black series was funny and the mystery interesting. Tiffany was lovable as a main character, and the support characters were great as well. There was a little bit of romance with the addition of Jack and it looks promising. And there might be hope with Stone too. Hope to see more romance in the next book.
This is a cute mystery series that I just happened upon and I think it is really enjoyable and fun. It's not really deep mystery although there are some thing that do have to be solved but that is really not the enjoyment to me. It is just light hearted and fun to read and Tiffany keeps you engaged with her many exploits. I like the dancing around the issue of will there be a romance with Stone or not. Personally, I hope she dances for quite awhile as that is one of the things that keeps you coming back to read the next book, and also, their relationship just gets a laugh out loud reaction from me. I readily suggest this series for a light hearted read between more serious books. We all need to laugh.
So far I am enjoying this series and I look forward to reading more of them, but the author seems to have a problem keeping names straight. In the beginning, Crystal's sister was named Christine, but then it changed to Carol. Tiffany's police detective friend's name is Emily, but in one part she was referred to as Erika. Stacey is the name of the insurance investigator, but yet Stacey ran the license plate numbers that Tiffany remembered from the Ferrari the night the painting was stolen? I work in insurance and they don't have access to DMV records like that.
Also, a front desk clerk at a hotel, especially a fancy one, isn't going to give out a room number to whomever walks up and requests it. They will call a room on your behalf, but they are not allowed to give out room numbers. I used to work in the hospitality industry and it's just not done.
